Dinner ...
Should have a video of this - Mike gave us a tutorial on how to eat a lobster - the WHOLE lobster!
We made a couple of friends as well:
On to our final day ... woke up to fog, then a torrential thunderstorm. We'll wait it out a few hours before heading North (and, Lou's still in bed!)
OK ... an update (and lots more photos - be warned!). Headed out of Boothbay once the fog cleared ...
uh oh ... fog coming in as we left the harbor:
Played - "Miss the lobstah buoy"
I watched the action from inside ... this was not a fun day. Lots of rocking and rolling, mucho fog, but fortunately no thunder showers while we were enroute...
Finally, the markers started showing up, indicating we were getting close ...
Land appears, albeit it's still pretty foggy ...
Taking it as a good omen that the fog began to lift as we arrived at Wayfarer Marina in Camden ...
We pulled up at the fuel dock to refill and also pump out (the you-know-what), and collect our mail.
The guys went to check out the slip where Promise Promise will be spending the next few months. Sandy and Kenny were extremely helpful.
Heading to our slip ...
A number of large schooners spend the summer here ... notice the sun even came out for our arrival.
We're home!
We'll take some more photos over the next few days (if the weather cooperates). Thanks for following our journey - it's been a great adventure for us, and we're delighted to be in Camden!
Bon appetite :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a safe journey and arrival! And thanks again for letting all of us tag along via your blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful place to call home for a while, and nice getting that slip on the end.
Now you can relax and enjoy being in one place for a while! Love to both!
Welcome home. I'm very proud of both of you and Promise Promise.
