Didn't even realize there was a Coast Guard Post at the corner to the entrance to the Marina yesterday - that's how foggy it was.

Yikes - someone's coming at us as we turn the corner ...
Once out in the ocean, it turned out to be a nice day. A little bit of a roll, but no whitecaps and a good ride at 15-16 knots (still had to hold on to something while moving around on deck) -
Made it to the inlet to the Shark River --- yikes again, it's narrower than Jupiter Inlet, and nasty chop as the tide was coming in. We had to wait for the bridge to open, then dove on through without mishap.

Even though the Marina was just a short distance in, we had to go through 3 more bridges ...

Arrived safely at the Belmar City Marina, fueled up and then moved to this nice slip with our own little dog waiting for us:
So we're snug in our slip, enjoying the sunny afternoon. Lots of pics today - musta been the sunshine!
OK - after apologizing for too many photos, I'm going to add some more.
First, none of us felt like going out to dinner again, so we decided to feast on what we had. Capt Matt had delivered a wonderful care package - homemade crackers from Linda, a wonderful Ricotta cheese spread, and some salami (and we still have the special cheese!). What a wonderful dinner! Thank you, Linda and Capt Matt.
This swan decided to visit us for an hour or so - while she has a broken wing, she seems to be doing quite well - playing to our sympathies, besting even the Cocker Spaniel begging we could never resist:
